Elijah Peck Obituary

A tribute for family and friends of Elijah Peck who got to know Elijah for the person he was before drug addiction became his demon. He was a good person with a good heart.

Eli enjoyed working on cars which he gained the love for from his granddad Thorton. His granddad taught him heavy equipment mechanics, but Eli’s love for the fast car became his passion. He enjoyed building cars from the ground up, adding parts to make them “fast and mean”. I have many memories of being out there with him building those cars. He would take his boys out and they would help him work on cars. Now his boys carry on this love of fast cars and how to build and take care of them.

I was with Elijah for 22 years. We had good times when his demons were quiet. He was a good man and tried to be a good husband and father. But he had his demons and in the end his demons finally won. It was said that “People won’t remember things you say or things you do but they will remember how you made them feel”. This is true for Eli and those he left behind.

He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond Peck and Kimberly Thornton, his grandparents Johnny and Helen Thornton and grandparents Bobby and Patricia Peck.

He leaves behind his brother Josh Holt and two sisters Jessica Mills and Jennifer Kline. He leaves a daughter Willow and 3 sons: Calob, Anthony, Emery, along with a few friends that we had adopted as part of the family. Your demons are gone now. We love you and know you are at peace.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
