Glen Maurice Allen, 95, passed away on March 24, 2024 in Morgan, Utah. He was born on October 9, 1928, in Riverdale, Utah to Maurice Alma Allen and Harriet Pearl Combe. He grew up in the Ogden area and graduated from Weber high school. At 24, he served in the United States Army and worked most of his career at Hill Air Force Base where he retired after 35 years.
Glen had a passion for riding motorcycles. This was apparent to anyone who knew him. He was still riding motorcycles into his 80’s. He spent countless hours working on all kinds of machines and fixing them. During his youth, he earned money by milking and herding cows, and learning how to farm. He was a hard worker which was evident in everything he did.
On September 20, 1963, Glen married Carol Von Facer. They raised their children in Roy, Utah. As a family, they enjoyed their time on camping trips and riding motorcycles in different areas around the state. Glen was devoted to providing for his family and took great care of anything he owned. He was a respectable and humble man filled with pride for his country. He taught his family many valuable life lessons and how to treat others. He was a man of integrity and made the most of difficult situations. His family is fortunate for such a hardworking example in life. He will be deeply missed.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, in 2017 and is survived by his children, Pam (Doug) Allred and Jody (Glen) Gerber, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be a brief graveside service with military honors at the Roy Cemetery 5200 S 2200 W on Friday, March 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
