Kathryn Adaline (A.K.) Lundgreen Obituary (1921 - 2010)

Kathryn A. Lundgreen Roy - A.K. or Kathryn Adaline Telford Lundgreen passed away Dec. 29, 2010 quietly at home of natural causes, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 15, 1921 in Ogden, Utah to Sterlin Delaino and Burnetta Bowden Telford. She was sealed in the LDS Temple to Junior Thomas Lundgreen. Together they had five children; Judy (Carl Nelson), Connie (Larry Cook), Pat (Richard Pledger), Brance Lundgreen and Mark (Marilyn) Lundgreen. She has 30 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junior Thomas Lundgreen; daughter, Connie Cook; son, Brance T. Lundgreen; sister Elizabeth and 2 brothers, Sterlin and Earl Telford. She was also preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Douglas Nelson and Justin Pledger. Kathryn was a devoted mother and daughter. She held many church positions. She loved to sing and also directing music. She had once sung on the radio and had played the violin. She loved fishing, bowling, hunting and singing. Her main talents were keeping her family cared for, and inspiring them with her talents and love. We'll miss her smile and laughter and sense of humor. She was the glue of the family and we'll miss her greatly. She completed college courses as a straight A student. She was employed for many years working with the handicapped students at the Weber Training Center teaching Economics, quilting, sewing and many other crafts. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A visitation will be held on January 2nd from 6 - 8 p.m. and Monday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
