Afton Parker Robinson Christensen

NORTH OGDEN-Our sweet mother, Afton Parker Robinson Christensen, died of natural causes June 8, 2007 at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 22, 1924 to Hendrika Jacoba Van Braak and Thomas Parker Jr. August 4, 1944 she married our dad, Keith Oliver Robinson in the Logan Temple. Together they raised six children. He died October 3, 1981. Afton married Gunnar Charles Christensen August 24, 1985 in the Provo Temple. She was widowed a second time March 3, 2003. Afton lived out the rest of her life in the home of her daughter and son-in-law in North Ogden.
Afton gave service all the years of her life in many organizations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She was firm in her faith and was a beautiful example of righteous living for her children and grandchildren. She was full of love which emanated to all that she came in contact with. Friends and acquaintances enjoyed her spirit and her never failing sense of humor.
Afton is preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her six children: Karen (Harold) Shaw, K (Carolyn) Robinson, Louise (Wade) Hurd, Parker (Christine) Robinson, Jeffrey (Kayla) Robinson and Becky Gourley, 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be Wednesday June 13, 2007 at 11am at the North Ogden Ninth Ward, 383 E. Elberta Drive. A viewing will be held on Tuesday June 12, 2007 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. in Ogden, from 6:30-8:30pm and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30am at the church prior to the funeral.
