Albert Dickson Rich passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2015. He was born in Morgan, Utah December 28, 1923 to Albert Fredrick and Eliza Dickson Rich. During his youth, he was part of the infamous "Bull Durham Gang" that got into mischief in the Morgan Community during the 1930's. After graduating from Morgan High School where he played on their championship football team, he served in the 651st tank destroyer battalion and later as an infantryman during WWII, where he assisted in the liberation of the notorious Dachau concentration camp. After the war, he attended Weber State and Utah State Universities receiving a BA degree in music.

He married the love of his life, Colleen Richins, May 27, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in 1963. Following graduation Al and Colleen moved to Cedar City where he began his teaching career. They later settled in Ogden where Al taught music at Mound Fort Jr. High for 33 years. He also worked part-time for Wade Brothers Construction during summer months.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many church positions.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, woodworking, gourmet hot dogs, and building the family cabin in the Uinta Mountains.

He was the last member of his family to pass, being predeceased by his parents and six siblings. Albert is survived by his dear wife of 66 years; five loving children, Debbie Bachman (Mike), Jeff Rich (Cindy), Scott Rich, Julie Rich Greer (Deon), Joe Rich (Lisa); 7 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.

His favorite saying was, "save your money."
