Aleda Talbot Mitchell Obituary (1937 - 2017)

ALeda Talbot Mitchell, 80 passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at McKay Dee Hospital surrounded by family. ALeda was born on January 20, 1937 in Lewiston, Utah a daughter of Denzil Griffeth and Clarissa Paulina Housely Talbot. She attended Lewiston Elementary, Lewiston Jr High and graduated from North Cache High School, and LDS Seminary. ALeda married Edward Alfred Mitchell on March 31, 1958 in the Logan LDS Temple, they were married for 56 years. Edward passed away on October 29, 2014. She was active in the church and had taught Sunbeams for 17 years, German extractions for 14 years, Relief Society Nursey and was in charge of Baptism Clothes. She had worked as a substitute teacher, Head Start Nursey, and made and donated many quilts to various organizations. ALeda loved her family and her grandkids, loved her dog Shadow that she had for thirteen years. Enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, car rides and camping. She made the most wonderful homemade bread, rolls, scones and cinnamon bread. Aleda always put others above herself. Surviving are her nine children: Rex and Kitty Mitchell; Deward Mitchell; Mark Mitchell; Karla and Bruce Young; Eric and Jennifer Mitchell; ArLene and Dale Johnson; Craig and Kristi Mitchell; Beverley and Noel Allred; and Yvette Maynard,22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also, siblings: D. Clenn Talbot; Vondelyn Smith; Leatrice Esplin; Alden Talbot; Lyle Talbot; Elaine Mace; Don Talbot; DelRa Talbot; Vada Vroman; DuVal Talbot; ReNae Yeates and Venice Anderson. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, brother Kim Talbot and Grandson Spencer. Special thanks to McKay Dee Hospital Staff for their loving care for ALeda. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brigham City South Stake Center, 865 S. 300 W., Brigham City, UT. Viewings will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City and on Saturday from 9:00 to 9:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be at the Lewiston Cemetery.
