Alice DeeVerne Thurman

SANDY - Alice DeeVerne Thurman passed peacefully from this life in her sleep on April 10, 2007, from natural causes, at the age of 83. She was born on December 26, 1923, in Glendale, California, the daughter of James Huntley and Martha Robbins Huntley.

Alice leaves behind her five children: daughter Aletha and sons Michael, Milton, Paul and Stephen. Her legacy includes 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, in 1983. They were sealed together in the LDS St. George Temple.

After her husband passed, she moved to Utah were she enjoyed a rich and colorful life with her family. Due to health issues she alternated living between California and Utah until the late 1990's when she permanently moved to Utah. Her final years were spent with her beloved sister, Marva Lee Parker, who cared for her with great love, care and devotion.
