Almetta James Bundy Obituary (1930 - 2002)

Almetta James Bundy OGDEN - Almetta Bundy, 72, was released from all her pain and suffering due to numerous medical conditions, on Saturday, November 2, 2002. She was born May 6, 1930 in Covington, KY to Leonard and Rose Lane James. She married William Thomas Bundy in Cincinnati, OH on Dec 29, 1948. They divorced in 1969. Mom was most happy spending time in the mountains camping and fishing. She loved to sew and make quilts, and cooking was her passion. She went from being a waitress in Detroit, MI in 1967 to becoming a chef for Pamela Country Clubs in Fort Myers, FL. She loved to cook for anyone who would eat. Surviving are her children and their families, Sue (Robert) Randall, Fay Dean, Maxwell Bundy, and William Bundy, Jr., all of Ogden; Billie (Bill Steele) Bundy of Kentucky; Regina Bundy, John H. (Connie) Bundy, and Leo H. Bundy, all of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her step-mother, Roxie of Ohio; brothers and sisters, Garnetta (Paul) Martin, and Luther, both of Florida; Lonnie, Freddie, Victor, Roy, David, Louise Proffitt, and Wanda Crosley, all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo, Jimmy Dale and Wendall; sisters, Dorothy and Elizabeth; daughter-in-law, Wanda Dean Bundy; and granddaughter, Miri Langston Smith.
