Alta Fifield

OGDEN - Alta Davis Fifield, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, March 8, 2004 at the South Ogden Rehab Center.

She was born November 23, 1916 in Preston, Idaho to David and Mary Hannah Saxton Davis. She married Lawrence Edwin Fifield on November 1, 1946 in Elko, NV, he preceded her in death on October 22, 1984 in Fairview, Idaho.

She lived with her husband on a dairy farm in Fairview, Idaho for 38 years. Following his death she moved to Ogden, Utah to be near her son.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Alta loved people, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed making quilts and pin cushions, and she lovingly shared bottled fruits and vegetables from her garden with friends and neighbors.

Surviving are her son, Rod (Betti) Fifield; five grandchildren, Trent (Lori) Fifield, Wendy (Mitch) Hemsley, Kristen (Lee) Bartholomew, Suzanne (Greg) Fillpot and Brett Fifield; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and 10 brothers and sisters.
