ALTON J. MATHIE

ROY - Alton J. Mathie, 76, passed away Friday, February 24, 2006 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 10, 1929 in Tetonia, Idaho, to Vern William and Isabelle Clay Mathie.

Alton and Norma Helen Hardy were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 24, 1959. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He served an LDS Mission to the Northern States and graduated from BYU.

Alton was involved in commercial water treatment for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Kevin (Narlene) Mathie of Washington Terrace; one sister, Reva Harris, Orange, CA; two brothers, Bill (Nadine) Mathie, Alpine, UT and Lynn (Betty) Mathie, St. George, UT. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Erma Mathie, Marie Brown Davenport, and a brother, Gail Mathie.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roy 23rd Ward Chapel, 5930 South 2200 West. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West and on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
