Amanda "Maynard" Mattson Obituary (1981 - 2012)

Amanda "Maynard" Mattson Amanda, translated into Latin, is "loveable". Even at her worst, our Mandy was always loved by everyone who met her. Mandy's greatest talent was her ability to love and laugh. Her laughter was infectious. Mandy's green eyes and golden curls could have you wrapped around her finger. Mandy lived a tumultuous life, struggled with many things and had attained a measure of normalcy in her last year. Mandy suddenly passed away November 8, 2012 and is now among the angels she loved. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her more than she ever knew. She is now reunited with Gramma "Weezie"; Granny; sister, Nicole; uncles, Tony and Rick and many others. Mandy had three children who she cherished with all her heart, Marissa, Mariah and Chaz; she is also survived by her mother, Robyn Fain; "other mom". Carrie McConkie; Gramma Sharon; father, Rex Mattson; "other father" Louie Ash; sisters, Vanessa, Stephanie Hales; brothers, Bo Palmer, Tyler Hales and Brady Colvin; many aunts, uncles and cousins who she adored. A viewing will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 6 to 8 p.m., cremation to follow. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 12 noon on Monday, at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Myers Mortuary to help with funeral costs.
