Angela Linn Johnson
August 10, 1970 – September 23, 2025

Angela Linn Johnson, our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on September 23, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a valiant fight against cancer.

She was a woman of great faith and devotion. She loved her family and friends dearly and was truly an inspiration to those around her. She influenced our lives in so many ways and will be greatly missed.

Angela was born to Eddie Burton and Ruth Evonne Alldredge Johnson on August 10,1970 in St. George, Utah. Her older brother, Jed was an easy baby; until Angela came along and taught him how to be adventurous. Jed and Angela were later joined by eight other siblings that would go on this great adventure.

Angela moved all over the western United States and Mexico while she was growing up. She attended elementary in Ephrata, Washington, middle school in Post Falls, Idaho and high school in Tooele, Utah. She graduated in 1988 from Tooele High School.

Shortly after graduation, her family moved to West Point, Utah. Angela received an Associate of Science from Dixie College in St. George, Utah graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Angela served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tennessee and Indiana, American Sign Language speaking. The fact that she passed away on International Day of Sign Language seemed so fitting.

Angela went to Weber State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. She also received a Master’s degree from an unidentified institution in Salt Lake City that might bleed red. However, Angela only bled blue and was a devout BYU fan! Her shared love of BYU football with her younger sister Charlene was time they both enjoyed together. Angela always made sure Charlene’s nails were painted the appropriate shade of blue.

Angela taught at several schools, Woods Cross Elementary for 1 year, Knowlton Elementary for 14 years, Endeavor Elementary for 6 years and Creekside Elementary for 10 years. She taught 1st and 3rd grades. She also taught special education and resource classes.

Angela was an amazing teacher that helped countless children learn in ways that were specialized to them. She took on many challenging jobs that required dedication that went far beyond teaching in the classroom.

She loved to crochet and read in her spare time. Every niece and nephew received a crocheted blanket when they joined the family. She also gave all her nieces and nephews birthday books. This instilled a love of reading as each niece and nephew looked forward to a new beloved book every year.

Angela had a talent for music and shared that talent with others. She sang for several years with the Mormon Youth Chorus and Symphony. She played the flute while in high school and would often play in concerts and sacrament meetings. She also played the piano. She spent countless hours teaching several of her nieces and nephews how to play.

Angela was also a talented seamstress and used that talent for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Angela volunteered and made costumes for the Opening Ceremonies. She made sure every costume was perfect. She helped with costume changes and getting all the performers where they needed to be; she loved being a part of this experience.

She also made countless items for the annual Alldredge Family Reunion; an event she always looked forward to.

Angela enjoyed traveling all over the United States and the World. She visited China, Israel, Ireland, Mexico, The United Kingdom and most of the States with friends that were like family. Each adventure held a special place in her heart. She also went to Hawaii with Shayla and her family (this trip was one of her favorites). Although, Wyoming was a close second.

Angela served others her entire life. Her younger sister Charlene required a lot of care and Angela always helped her parents make sure that Charlene had everything she needed. Angela has also taken care of her parents for the past few years.

Words cannot convey the appreciation that our family has for all of Angela’s sacrifices to make life better for everyone. We are forever in her debt.

As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she enjoyed the many callings she received and cherished the friendships established along the way.

Angela served in the Ogden Temple as an ASL translator and an ordinance worker. She was also called to the Syracuse Temple as a Temple worker. Even though she was undergoing chemotherapy, she still wanted to serve when she could. She loved the variety of callings in which she served.

Angela’s deep love of the Savior was evident in her service to others. Her testimony that families are forever and her unwavering faith throughout all of life’s trials, has been a living testament that Christ lives and we will all be together again.

Angela is survived by her parents, Eddie Burton and Ruth Evonne (Alldredge) Johnson; siblings, Jed (LaDawn), Shayla (Tyler) Cook, Rob (Liz), Mark (Julie), Kyle (Charise), and Ben (LeighAnn); and her twenty-eight nieces and nephews, one great niece, and five great nephews and one on the way; whom she loved to spoil. Angela is preceded in death and was welcomed home by her grandparents, Verl and Ada (Nelson) Alldredge, Floyd and Genevieve (Whetten) Johnson; sisters, Arlene and Carlene; niece, Belle Johnson; and of course her beloved, Charlene. We have no doubt that Charlene was the first to greet her and for the first time be able to do Angela’s fingernails.
