Annis Maude Tribe Obituary (1911 - 2009)

Annis Tribe Annis left this earthly life three days after her 98th birthday. She will now be reunited with her dancing partner Howard. She was born on November 25, 1911 in North Ogden, Utah. Her parents were George E and Maude Starr Brown. She grew up on the farm with her eight siblings. Annis married Howard Tribe in the Salt Lake Temple April 15, 1938. They celebrated 65 years together. She worked with Howard in the Tribe's Home Furniture family business, and many homes benefited from her talent as an Interior Designer. Annis loved to garden. She bowled and played bridge with the "Dusty Dozen," a ladies club she organized and attended for over 60 years. No one loved the game of golf more than she did. She is survived by her children William "Bill" and (Susan) Tribe, Tyra and (Bob) Hazen, and Jan and ( Bryan) Millerberg. Annis has three living sisters, Afton Dehaan, Mildred Richards, and Shirley Garlick. She has 11 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren with 3 more coming soon. Christmas was a special time for family for gathering, walk arounds, decorating, music and ringing the sleigh bells. Annis leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a strong will, and a sense of style and beauty. Thank you Mom for teaching your daughters and granddaughters the art of cooking.
