The first daughter of William Sydney Sleeper and Mary Ruth Jones. She graduated from Northern Burlington Junior/Senior High School in Columbus, New Jersey in 1969. She graduated from Weber State College in Ogden, Utah in Music and Education on June 5, 1976. She married James Lovell Larsen on July 9, 1976 in Elko, Nevada. They were sealed in the Ogden Utah Temple on August 12, 1978.
In the beginning, Jim was working at Hill Air Force Base as an electronic technician. They lived in a lovely home in Sunset, Utah that Jim had bought the previous November. Ann was hired by Weber County Schools in 1977. She taught 2nd grade for 4 years at North Park Elementary in Roy, Utah. On June 1, 1981, she was committed to the McKay Dee Hospital psych ward for 30 days. She was diagnosed with manic depression. This disability followed her throughout her life. Jim stood by her through all the ups and downs.
She loved volunteering in the public schools teaching music, reading, and math. She loved the holy scriptures and the words of the prophets of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She also loved genealogy and temple work. Jim would read to her daily after family prayer. She loved music: religious, operatic, and Broadway musicals.
Ann and Jim were not able to have any children of their own, but she loved her stepdaughter, Heather Dawn Larsen, greatly.
Surviving her are her siblings Deborah Sleeper Woolley, Shelley Sleeper Polston, William Craig Sleeper (Susanna), Pamela Joy Sleeper Rodriguez (Steven), Jennifer Lee Sleeper Jones (Marc) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
