ARCOLA L. VON ALMEN SUNSETa"Arcola L. Von Almen, 83, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2003 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born September 16, 1920 in Thayne, Wyoming, the daughter of David and Alice Sealy Larsen. Arcola married Wayne M. Von Almen on February 24, 1943 in the Logan Temple; he died January 9, 1997. She later married D. Leon Von Almen on August 5, 1998 in the Logan Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a Southern States Mission for twenty-two months. She also served as a Relief Society president and a faithful temple worker. She worked hard as a realtor. Her passions were fishing, gambling, boating, playing board games, going out to eat and traveling. She enjoyed working hard and was very meticulous in her cleaning. She also loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, D. Leon Von Almen and a daughter, Cherie Larsen, Logan, and Maxine Van Sickle who she also raised; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; a sister, Evelyn Burton and a brother, Bernard Larsen. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Von Almen.
