Arline Mitchell Smith Opheikens OGDENa"Arline Mitchell Smith Opheikens, age 83, passed away December 13, 2002 in Ogden, Utah. She was born June 21, 1919 to Frank Hunter and Lurena Taylor Mitchell. She married Jacob Opheikens on June 1, 1950, in Fresno, California. Previously, she was married to Martin Blaine Smith and they later divorced. She was a member of the Lorin Farr 5th Ward. She enjoyed going out dancing with her husband, Jake. She retired from Hill Air Force Base after many years of service. Her greatest love was her family and she enjoyed showering them with love and gifts. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna and MaryEtta, one brother, Charles 'Tad' Mitchell, and one great grandson, Daylin. She is survived by her husband, Jake Opheikens, her children, Sally Smith Williams of Washington Terrace, Sandra Smith (Charlie) Fowers of Ogden, Sharon Smith Brandewie of Ogden, Duane "Duke" (Penny) Smith of Morgan, Karanel Opheikens Manchester of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Star Opheikens (Jim) Byles of Sacramento, California. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, two brothers, Alfred (Ruth) Mitchell and Eli (Dixie) Mitchell, all of Woods Cross.
