Arnold (Arnie) Andrew Williams recording. Arnold (Arnie) Andrew Williams was born on September 15, 1928 in Ogden, UT to Robert Todd Williams and Blanch Taylor. On July 9, 2016 Arnie returned home to his Heavenly Father and so many loved ones that have been waiting patiently. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by ALL of his loving family, just as he wanted. Arnie was the 6th of 7 children. His siblings are Robert Cecil, Gladys, Darrell, Leola, Jay and LaVar. Arnie grew up in Ogden, attending Mound Fort, and Ogden High where he graduated. He had a love of sports and played football and baseball throughout his school days. Arnie was a faithful member of the LDS Church where he served many callings throughout his life, including a mission in Kentucky, TN. After returning home, he met and married the love of his life, Jean Drake in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 26, 1953. They were blessed with one angel baby boy and 4 children, and through marriage gained 4 more, Vickie (Brad) Warren, Raelene (Eber) Burdess, Cindy (Leath) Creamer, and Doug (Libby) Williams. After 18 wonderful years of marriage Arnie lost Jean due to complications of heart surgery. Although it wasn't until years later Arnie found love again and married Maxine Edwards. They resided in Plain City. After 25 years, Arnie lost her as well. Over the years Arnie worked at many jobs that he loved but a few that meant the most to him was Weber State College book store where he was able to chat with everyone he came in contact with. He would retire after 25 years from Weber State, only to turn around and become a crossing guard at Plain City Elementary. He was there for 20 years. Arnie loved this job most of all because of the children. He knew all of them by name and loved them and teased them and made sure they arrived to and from school safely. Some of Arnie's hobbies included bowling, camping, fishing and hunting. All of which he did with his family. He loved his family and made many memories with them. He was very generous with the vegetables he would grow in his garden. He loved attending to that garden. He loved raising birds of any kind, having horses, goats, dogs and many other animals to keep him busy. But his true love was his family. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was not a sports game, birthday, or holiday that would not go unnoticed by Arnie. The meant the world to him. To say the least, he was loved dearly, made many faithful friends, and his life was full of wonderful experiences. He was always making jokes and telling long exaggerated stories that would never end. He was best known for teasing anyone he was standing next to. He was a tender hearted man. Arnie is survived by one sibling, LaVar Williams and one brother-in-law, Eldon Drake, (including many loving nieces and nephews.) He has 4 children, 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by both wives; 5 siblings and 1 great grandchild. The family would like to thank AFI Hospice for their care and love for Arnie these last few months. Especially Vlad, Heidi, and Amber. They went the extra mile. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Missionary Fund or a charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Plain City 7th Ward, 2952 N. 4200 W. Viewings will be held at the church on Thursday, July 14th from 6 to 8 PM and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment Ogden City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
