Arthur F. Barela Jr Obituary (1962 - 2013)

Arthur F. Barela Jr. Arthur F. Barela Jr. Passed away, with his family by his side, on October 19, 2013 at the age of 51. He was born in Ogden, UT on April 13, 1962 to Arthur and Judy Barela. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1980. He was currently employed at Autoliv. Arthur was an amazing man who loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family. He was a diehard Broncos fan who loved fishing, camping, and family BBQ's. He always had something funny to say and could make anyone smile. Arthur is survived by his wife, Kathy Patino Barela of 30 years, later divorced but remained great friends. He later met Bernie Martinez. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Katreena Barela, Vanessa Barela (Nick) and RoZan Barela (Alex) all of Ogden, UT; sisters, Kathy Martinez, Susan Sanchez, Stephanie Barela, Savanna Barela; brother, Rodney Barela; a special Uncle "Poncho" (Frank Randall); a great friend Crystal Jensen; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Arthur is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Barela; nephews, JoJo Barela, Ricky Martinez; grandparents and a special Uncle, David Valdez. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 - 24th Street. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 24th at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery, a dinner will follow at St. Josephs in Ogden.
