Arthur "Art" Hindberg

BRIGHAM CITY - Arthur "Art" Willard Hindberg, 79 died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at his home in Brigham City surrounded by his loved ones.
Art was born September 29, 1930 in Corinne, UT to Irvin and Ophelia Hindberg.
He was raised and educated in Box Elder and served his country in the Armed Forces as a Demolition Engineer in Germany for four years. He retired from Thiokol after 34 years of service. Art was involved 15 years in the pony league baseball program in Brigham City. He was mentor to many youth and to this day he is still known as coach.
Art married Carla Abersold December 20, 1952 they later divorced. Then he met and married Vernae Fredrickson on July 6, 1974. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Surviving are his wife, Vernae of 35 years, children: Buddy (Antia) Hindberg, Washington; Renee (Joe) Uitdenbogaard, Uintah; Bobby (Annette) Hindberg, Roy; Bonnie (Roger) Williams, Honeyville; Linda (Monty) Orchard, Kentucky; Vonda Kirkland, CA; Hal (Holly) Christensen, No. Ogden; Jay (Debbie) Christensen, Plain City; Jill (Henry) Johnson, Plain City; 38 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren which is his special blessings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
The family would like to express appreciation for the professional and compassionate care by Vista Care. And the many friends, neighbors, in the River Ward.
Funeral services Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the River Ward, 523 N. 100 W., Brigham City.
Friends may call Tuesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT and Wednesday 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Avon Cemetery.
