Avril Thornton Pettry Obituary (1923 - 2005)

ROY - Avril Thornton Pettry, 82, passed away July 31, 2005 at her home after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Plymouth, Utah on March 19, 1923 a daughter of Violet Christensen and Vern Thornton. Avril married Eugene Victor Pettry and between them enjoyed two sons. Avril is survived by her two sons, Von E. and Trent L. (Tracy), seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers Jack Thornton, Hal (Lila), Ross (Cheryl) two sisters Dorcus (Doyle) Christensen, Myrna Arudea and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father brother Claire and sister Jerry. Avril had many occupations in her life and retired from IRS. We would like to send a special thanks to Dr.Vincent Hansen and all the nurses who took care of her at McKay Dee Hospital.
