Barbara Jean Snowball Davis, 74, of Ogden, Utah, passed away on September 14, 2018 from an extended illness. Born on May 1, 1944 in Long Beach, California, she is predeceased by her parents Ruth Johnson Snowball and Morrell Snowball. She grew up in Long Beach and is the oldest of five sisters. Barbara married Terry Davis on May 28, 1968. They have three children, Jessica (Colby) Bitton, Jeremiah Davis and Christopher (Sarah) Davis. She also has six grandchildren Kaelyn (Victor) Cisneros, Davis Bitton, Taylor Bitton, Emily Bitton, Grace Davis and Anna Davis.
Barbara was a fun and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family and was so proud of them. She was a fabulous cook who prepared wonderful meals for her family and friends to enjoy. She always knew how to make things beautiful whether it was a gift, a table setting, her home or giving a lesson. Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities. Her favorite calling was that of gospel doctrine teacher.
Barbara retired from Cal State San Marcos. She was the aide to the president of the university and recalled her time there and the friends that she made with great fondness.
Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty years Terry Davis and by her children, Jessica (Colby), Jeremiah, Christopher (Sarah) and her grandchildren, Kaelyn (Victor), Davis, Taylor, Emily, Grace, Anna. She is also survived by her sisters Christine (Dick), Nancy (Doug), Cindy (Dave) and Betsy (Bob).
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Barbara on Saturday September 29th, 2018 at 10:00 am at the LDS ward building at 1314 27th St, Ogden UT.
