Barbara Jean King Sherrod
June 20, 1947 - August 2, 2014

Barbara Jean King Sherrod of Roy, Utah passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014, surrounded by loved ones.
Barbara was born in Brigham City, Utah to Mary Ann Lamont and John Leland King.

She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. Barbara the "bookie barber" cut hair for many years. Some of her clients became lifelong friends and she cut their hair for over 30 years.

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Stacy Fisher and Heather Sherrod, two granddaughters, Alex and Abby Fisher, three sisters and four brothers. Her sister, Donna Gray, was constantly by her side holding her hand and providing comfort and support to not only Barbara but her daughters and granddaughters over the last three months for which they will be eternally grateful.

The family would like to thank the staff at McKay Dee Hospital and Crestwood Care Center for their help and kindness to Barbara during the last five weeks. Barbara loved getting to know the nurses but her favorite was Mila at McKay Dee ICU. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Mila for her kindness towards Barbara.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy.

All these places have their moments with lovers and friends, I still can recall. Some are dead and some are living in my life, I've loved them all. - The Beatles, In My Life.
