Barnard Ross Messerly Obituary (1943 - 2021)

Barnard "Ross" Messerly, passed away peacefully April 11, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 5, 1943 in Uintah, Utah, the son of Josie Wilma Peterson and Barnard Dempsey Messerly. He married Carol, together they had three children, they later divorced. He worked for a variety of construction companies as a Concrete Contractor. On April 6, 1975 he married his sweetheart Barbara Buehler in Reno, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Ogden Utah Temple, together they had three children. He started Messerly Concrete and was a successful contractor making many life long friendships throughout the years. Ross was an avid hunter. He also traveled all over the world and found many trophy big horn sheep. He also enjoyed gardening and caring for his flower beds. He was proud of his yard. "Stay off Grass" or "There is concrete for a reason" were some of his favorite phrases. Ross and Barb spent many summer evenings in their backyard. He is survived by his sweetheart, his children and many grandchildren. Also survived by his three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Private family services were held at Uintah Cemetery.
