Bart Howard Freestone Obituary (1960 - 2008)

OGDEN - Bart Howard Freestone of Plain City, UT, returned home on October 16, 2008, of respiratory failure at the McKay Dee Hospital surrounded by a loving family. He was born on November 11, 1960 in Ogden, Utah; he was the eldest of Howard Dean and Connie Beus Freestone's four children. Bart was an elder in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints, a member of the Riverside Plain City Ward. He graduated from Weber High and attended the ATC and Weber State University. He previously worked at Hill Air Force Base and was currently employed with Freestone Electric Inc. Bart was physically challenged but was never limited; He always lived life to the fullest and was a free spirit that loved hunting, golf, fishing, NASCAR Racing, and the outdoors. We focused on his abilities and not his disabilities. Bart is survived by his parents of Plain City, a brother, Blaine (Kristen) Freestone, Morgan; and sister, Kathie (Mike) Averett, West Warren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kristie Jacobsen and cousins, Pat Wingate, Travis Beus, Corey Beus, and Tina Sorrelles. A celebration of Bart's life will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. On Tuesday, October 21, 2008 a viewing will be held at the Plain City Stake Center, 4575 W 2125 N, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Plain City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and according to Bart's wishes, memorial donations may be sent to the family.
