Beckey Lee Ray Olsen Obituary (1955 - 2014)

Beckey Ray Olsen Our beloved Guardian Angel, Beckey, 59, returned to her Heavenly Father on December 1, 2014 at her home due to medical complications with family by her side. Beckey was born on August 6, 1955 in Ogden, Utah to Keith and Judy Ray. She lived in Ogden and graduated from Bonneville High School and Weber State University. She was employed at IRS and Ogden Regional Medical Center for many years. She was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor. On June 5, 1975, she married Ralph (Gilbert) Leeds. They later divorced. On December 18, 1980, she married Garth Olsen, together they raised six children. They later divorced. She also had a longtime companion, Larry Ryan. Beckey enjoyed the outdoors, crafting, baking, spending time with her lifelong friend, Cindi Ward and close friends, Laurie Hadley and Teena Wallace. Beckey considered herself first and foremost a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Her greatest joy and love in life was being with her daughters and grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed by all. Beckey is survived by her three daughters who she devoted her life to; Lacie Wilder, South Ogden, Breezie Leeds, Clearfield, and Tawna Leeds, South Ogden; 12 grandkids who she loved more than life; and 5 great-grandkids who she adored. She is also survived by her sisters, Connie (Charlie) Brown, Roy; Kellie (Mike) Pace, Huntsville; 2 brothers, Carson Ray and Chad Ray both of Clearfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, three nephews and one great-grandson. A special thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice for the loving care she received. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to services from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be at the West Warren Cemetery.
