Bertha ''June'' Malan Burnett Obituary (1923 - 2003)

BERTHA "JUNE" MALAN BURNETT CLEARFIELD - Bertha "June" Malan Burnett, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at her home in Clearfield. She was born June 13, 1923 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Albert Eli and Bertha Taylor Malan. She married George Fred Burnett April 15, 1944 in Ogden, Utah. George passed away January 24, 2003. June loved flowers and gardening and was a terrific cook. June was a fierce defender of her family, particularly with her handicapped grandson, Brett. She was always willing to sacrifice her time for her family. June had an uncanny ability to organize things. She was the last living granddaughter of John Daniel Malan that settled the Ogden Valley. She is survived by her son Paul (Penny) Burnett of Layton and two grandchildren Brett Franklin and Guy Fred. A special thank you to IHC Hospice Nurses and Aids for their compassionate care.
