Beryl V. Nielsen Obituary (1931 - 2013)

Beryl V. Nielsen ROY -- Our beloved mother and grandmother, Beryl Nielsen, 82 died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Whispering Pine Assisted Living. She was born June 11, 1931 in Ogden to Gerald Henry Vandersteen and Isabell D. Pincock. She married Ray A. Nielsen on July 10, 1948, in Ogden; the marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on May 3, 1972. She was educated in Ogden and was a lifelong member of the LDS church where she served in many capacities. Beryl was a member of the Mt. Ogden Archers; she loved doing porcelain dolls, camping, fishing and boating. She had worked for Dr. Thomas R. Austad for more than twenty years. Surviving are one son, Gerald R. (Debbie) of Layton; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (RaeDene) Teiberis of Otter, MO; and Mrs. Bruce (Kelle) Kelly; of Malad, ID; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Wayne (Jayne) Vandersteen of West Haven. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; daughter, Jan; son, Lynn, brother, Gerald; sister, JoAnn Draney; grandson, Brett and great-granddaughter, Martee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roy 13th LDS Ward, 5127 South 2400 West, Roy, UT where family will greet friends from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
