Betty Ruth Jepperson Holley Obituary (1924 - 2009)

Betty Ruth Holley ROY - Dearly loved mother and grandmother, Betty Ruth Holley, 84, died January 19, 2009 at her home in Roy. She was born November 6, 1924 in Provo, Utah, the daughter of Walter and Arvilla Bringhurst Jepperson. She married Ray D. Holley on May 2, 1942, who had a distinguished career in the US Air Force. Together they lived all over the world, rearing their three children Betty Rae, Ronnie and Gary, before settling in Roy, Utah in 1962. Betty enjoyed needlework, gardening and yard work, delighted in the companionship of her son Gary, and took great pleasure in spending time with her daughter Betty Rae and her grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray in 1991, her son Ronald Henry Holley, grandson Michael Thomas Browning, and her younger siblings, Walter Clyde Jepperson and Carol Marie Jepperson. She is survived by her daughter Betty Rae (Thomas) Browning, son Gary Lee Holley of Roy, Utah, grandchildren Dianne Browning, Salt Lake City, Robert Browning, San Jose, California, Deborah Browning, Roy, and two great grandchildren. Gratitude is extended to the services of "Nurse Sharon" of VistaCare Hospice, whose guidance and support allowed her family to honor her wishes of staying at home through the end of her life. A visitation will be held at Myer's Mortuary 5865 S. 1900 W. in Roy from 11:30am-12:30pm on Friday, January 23, 2009. Graveside services and burial are at 1:00pm at the Roy City Cemetery.
