Beverly Kay Knudsen peacefully passed on April 14, 2026. Born November 1, 1946, in Cadillac, Michigan, Beverly was a compassionate soul whose kindness touched everyone she met. Her radiant spirit shone brightest when she was surrounded by her family and friends, and her deep affection for her loved ones was truly unparalleled. Her smile was so radiant it would light up every room she was in and she kept that smile until her last days.
Beverly was a loving wife to her husband, William Knudsen, whom she married on August 28, 1965. Together, they raised their sons, William Knudsen and Terry (Lar) Knudsen, in a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. The couple's bond was the epitome of true love, and their relationship was a testament to their dedication and commitment to one another. Beverly was also an exceptional grandmother, thoughtfully nurturing her five grandchildren and supporting them in all their sporting events and extracurricular activities. Her generous nature extended beyond her family, as Beverly was known for her thoughtful spirit, whether it was playing bunko with friends or line dancing. Beverly found joy in creating holiday traditions for her family. She would host amazing Christmas Eve parties with games, food and fun. She would also cook everyone's favorite meal and dessert for their birthday. Because of her dedication and love of family, Beverly would travel back to Michigan as often as possible to visit family.
Throughout her life, Beverly was a dedicated Catholic, instilling the values of her faith in her family and living by the verse, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13).
Beverly's career was a reflection of her dedication to service. She worked for the IRS for over 30 years, retiring as a taxpayer advocate. Her professional achievements mirrored her personal qualities: compassionate, loving, generous, and thoughtful.
Beverly Knudsen is survived by her beloved husband, William, sons William (Kellie) Knudsen and Terry (Kari) Knudsen, five grandkids, and two great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Haines, brothers, Tommy and Steve Haines, and sister Linda (Haines) Moyer. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Cascades for their unwavering care and support and to Paula from Holy Family for her weekly visits to administer holy communion and to pray with her.
