Billy Hindes

–

Plain City, Utah

On February 15, 2026, our courageous father, Billy Hindes, made his transition from this life. Born to William and Norma Hindes on January 1, 1962 in Ogden, UT, Billy spent his life bringing laughter and love to those around him. He was a man of great talent and dedication, as evident in his 33 years of service with J Brad Barto Construction. He loved his work as a framer and admired the homes, condos, and buildings that he and his crew constructed. Upon his retirement in 2017, he turned his passion to his hobbies which included fishing, four wheeling, shooting guns, making crafts, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family.

Billy was a beacon of light for his loved ones, always encouraging them to "smile, it makes the world a better place." His infectious laughter and sense of humor made him the life of every party. He loved pulling pranks, sharing funny jokes, making amusing facial expressions, and he truly enjoyed making people laugh. He cherished moments with his beloved wife Sherry, with whom he shared an extraordinary life with since their marriage on May 12, 1995. They loved going on car rides together, admiring the beautiful Utah scenery and watching movies. His love for his children and grandchildren knew no bounds and his little buddy, Rex, was always by his side.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Sherry and his children Brandon, Rachel (Larry), Chantel (Zakk), Mandy (Clinton), and his grandchildren Jessica, Haylee, Payton, Brynlee, Haley, Chloe, Emily, and Kayla. He leaves behind his siblings Bob (Doreen), Cherrell (Paul), Darrell, Becky, Will (Rena), Tim, and Jeremy (Cherri). He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Norma, and his brother, Ray. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

In the words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." So, let's honor Billy's legacy by remembering all the wonderful times we shared with him. We invite you to leave your memories and upload photos to the memorial page. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Let's remember him with laughter in our hearts, as he would have wanted.

Friends and family are encouraged to share memories and photos of Billy on his memorial page at www.myers-mortuary.com.
