Blas Salvador Alonzo Dias May 31, 1984 ~ August 6, 2018 Blas Salvador Alonzo Dias A.K.A Duke died at the age of 34 in the town of Sand Point, Idaho. Duke was born May 31st 1984 in Ogden, Utah to Delores Mendoza and Manuel Diaz Sr. Duke was born and raised in Ogden Utah where he attended elementary, middle and high school. He later earned his high school diploma from an alternative learning program. Duke loved a lot of things, including fishing, music, and doing things with his family. Duke's greatest accomplishment was being a dad and uncle. Duke loves his kids and family more than anything. He was a single father at the age of 18. Most men wouldn't know what to do, but Duke took it in stride, mastering the ponytail and braid to comb his daughter's hair. A lot of people close to Duke would say to love Duke was to hate Duke. He loved telling everyone what he thought but hated being told what anyone else thought. Life is so Ironic... it takes sadness to know what happiness is, noise to appreciate silence... and absence to value presence Duke is survived by his 3 children Lola, Blas Jr., and Sophia. He is also survived by Manuel Diaz Sr. Adelina (Barry) Dias, Manuel JR. (Noelle), Vanessa (Nolan) Dias, Shirley "Georgia" (Pablo) Dias, Angelina Patino, Cassandra Crespin, Danny Ray Crespin, Kent Zamora his cousin that was like a brother. He is survived by many aunts and uncles, 7 nephews, 17 nieces, 2 great nephews, one which he never got the pleasure to meet. Duke is preceded in death by his mother Delores Mendoza-Kylen, grandmother Frances Zamora, Grandmother Shirley Prieto- Reed, aunt Dawn Zamora, aunt Tony Lopez, aunt Irene Chavez, cousin Johnny Higareda, cousin Anthony Higareda Jr, cousin Priscilia Chavez, cousin Robert Soto Jr., cousin Anjericka Archuleta, and cousin Stacy Reyna A celebration of Duke's life will be held August 17, 2018 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, from 6-8 p.m. His remains will be laid to rest on Monday August 20, 2018 at the Ogden City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. A late lunch will be served, location TBA at the cemetery.
