Blondell Smith Butler Obituary (1909 - 2008)

Blondell Smith Butler OGDEN - Mrs. Blondell Smith Butler was born in Tipton County (Covington) TN to Mr. and Mrs. Dan and Erva Smith. Blondell was educated in the Tipton County school system. She was the younger sister of Richard and Estes, who have both preceded her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Cannan Baptist Church in Covington. Blondell moved to Kansas City KS where she met her husband Charles O'Donnell Butler. They later settled in Ogden UT due to a job transfer. Blondell was employed by Bon Marche Department Store, where she made a number of very close friends. Blondell was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star PHA, Ogden, UT. She leaves to mourn her memory nephews Lyman Ester Smith of Memphis TN, Charles Jones of Detroit, MI, James Jones of Pontiac, MI and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
