OGDEN - Brad James Stokes, 37, died August 16, 2007 in Ogden, Utah. He was born January 5, 1970 in Ogden the son of Darwin Stokes and Karen Beckstead. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School; he attended Weber State University and the U of U; he was a Microsoft Certified Technician and recently received a certificate in Management Training from HAFB/Weber State University. He married Lisa Peralta June 5, 1993 in Ogden, Utah, they later divorced. He married Amy Lords April 7, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV.

Brad worked as an Aircraft Electrician for HAFB for 5 years; he also worked at Anderson Lumber and St. Benedicts in the Cancer Treatment Center.

Brad loved fishing and tied his own flies; he enjoyed hunting, golfing, soccer with his kids, building guns (did his own reloading), he was an expert carpenter and was good with his hands. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his brother.

Brad is survived by his wife Amy; children Taylor J. Stokes, Hayden Brad Stokes; step-children Hailey Calonge, Kristen Calonge; parents Karen (Jim) Reeder, Darwin (Marsha) Stokes; grandmother Lorraine Beckstead; siblings Sherry Stokes, Troy (Amanda) Reeder and Travis (Aileen) Stokes; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He had many good friends including his long time buddy, his yellow lab Dakota, that will be laid to rest with him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Isabel Stokes, James Beckstead, Grace Reeder and Bud and Dotty Payne.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. where a viewing will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
