Brent Bringhurst

Brent Paul Bringhurst, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away April 6, 2023, in his home after a 2-year battle with cancer.

Brent was born August 16, 1950. He was the 2nd child of Robert and Reta Bringhurst. He grew up in Roy, Utah, graduating from Roy High School in 1968.

Brent married Peggy Hendry in 1977 and were together for 25 years. They had 2 children and were later divorced. Brent also served his country including a 4-year enlistment with artillery in the Army National Guard. His basic training took him to Kentucky and AIT job training in Oklahoma at Fort Sill. Eventually receiving an honorable discharge after enlisting for the war.
He was a driven professional, an avid hunter and enjoyed golfing. His career took him across the United States and passions took him around the world. He had a very successful career in the grocery business including 29 years with Albertson's, 10 with Harris Teeter and finished as a consultant. Brent had the biggest heart and was a devoted friend. He made a lasting impression on the lives he touched and the countless friends he made along the way. He will be greatly missed.

Years after countless moves, Brent return to his home in Utah where he was able to build even stronger bonds with his family and childhood friends. Anyone who has spoken to Brent knows how he feels about his children, nothing but pride. He never knew he could love anything more than his children until he met his grandchildren.

Brent is survived his son, Joey and daughter, Jill (Jason Cook), 2 grandchildren Nixon and Nolan. His mother Reta; 3 brothers, Bruce (Sue), Barry (Dani), Blaine (Cindy), and his sister, Janet (Mark Howes). He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert.
