Brian Swenson

With deep respect and love, we remember Brian Christopher Swenson, known affectionately as "Chuckles" by his closest friends and family. Brian was a true pillar of strength, born in Ogden, UT, USA on the 5th of December, 1981, which remained his beloved home until sudden and unexpected passing on the 13th of April, 2026. A man of faith and a dedicated family man, Brian's life was a testament to the words from the Book of Mormon, "Men are, that they might have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). He found his joy in the love of his family, his faith in God, and his pride for his country.

Brian was a devoted husband to Jennifer Swenson, with whom he shared a blessed marriage since April 18, 2007. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. His love for Jennifer was a love that was deep, strong, and unwavering. He was a reliable security officer at Holy Cross Hospital, where he served with dedication and commitment. Brian was known for his unique hobbies, which included model trains, collecting guns, and anything patriotic. He loved shooting and traveling, but what mattered most to him was his family, God, and his country. Brian was a steadfast beacon of light to his loved ones, his faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints guiding him throughout his life.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; his caring mother, his son, Raymond, mother, Janice Swenson; his supportive brother, Shane (Jennifer) Swenson; and his understanding mother-in-law, Kay (David) Foutz. He is preceded in death by his father, Duane Swenson. Brian's life was a tapestry of love, faith, and patriotism, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As we remember him, let us fill our hearts with the joy he brought into our lives, the lessons he taught us, and the love he had for us all. "And, if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God" (Doctrine and Covenants 14:7). May this verse be a source of comfort as we remember our dear Brian, knowing that he is in the loving hands of our Heavenly Father.

A Celebration of Brian's Life will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the North Ogden 5th Ward, 626 E. 2600 N. North Ogden. A viewing will be held on Tuesday at the church from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 am, also at the church.
