Brian Wight

Brian Cleone Wight was born August 23, 1961 in Logan, Utah to Cleone Willaim Wight and Valarie Lott.

He was raised in Brigham City. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed golfing and was on the Box Elder High School golf team.

Brian married Julie Eddings on June 9, 1988. They welcomed 3 children into their home, Cristen, Brice, and Hailey. The family enjoyed living in rural areas of Utah, Nevada, and Idaho where Brian worked as a class IV Wastewater Operator, which is the highest classification available in his field. He was a talented laboratory technician as well as an experienced collections operator.

He would often tell stories about being a bird hunting guide at Duckville, he said there was nothing better than to be in the marshes or along a crystal clean, running river early in the morning waiting for the world to wake up. That was why wastewater was such an important occupation for him. He valued our ecological system.

Brian was kind, generous, and compassionate. He was a quiet person who thought about things deeply. He loved good food, and he was a great cook. Brians grandchildren, Syrie, Tayleigh, Addilynn, Sofyia and Jaxton were the love of his heart.

Brian is survived by his children, grandchildren, sister Carolee Mortenson and his brother Darin (DeLora) Wight.

Brian was preceded in death by his wife Julie and his mom and dad.

Brian and his family were especially grateful for the physicians and nurses at Fresenius Dialysis and Ogden Regional Wound Care for their love, care and support.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah followed by Funeral Services at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
