Brian Maurice Wilkin II
December 9, 1996 – July 3, 2025
Brian Maurice Wilkin II, age 28, passed away on July 3, 2025, in Midvale, Utah. He was born on December 9, 1996, in Murray, Utah, and spent most of his life in Tennessee, where he lived boldly, loved deeply (in his own quiet way), and never missed a chance to make someone laugh. In his later years, Brian returned to Utah, where he continued building his life surrounded by family, friends, and the open road he loved so much.
Brian was many things—hardworking, sharp, stubborn, loyal, and hilarious. He had a smart mouth and a soft heart. He wasn’t one to say “I love you” out loud, but if you were one of his people, you knew. He showed up. He backed you up. If something went down, he was already there—ready to help, ready to protect, ready to throw in with everything he had. His love was steady and strong, even when it wasn’t spoken.
He was happiest in motion—working on bikes, fixing up cars, throwing darts, playing pool, or out riding his motorcycle with the wind in his face. Those were the moments when he was most free, most alive, and most like himself.
Brian is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carrie and Ryan Wiendl; his father, Kris Wilkin; and his brother and sister, Darelle and Marissa Wilkin. He also leaves behind extended family who loved him deeply, and his dog, Moto, who brought him comfort in his own way. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Neal, whom he now joins.
Ride free, Brian. I hope the roads are open, the engine’s loud, and the sky’s clear. Wherever you are, I hope you know just how loved you are.
A memorial service will be held on July 19, 2025, including a Last Ride in Brian’s honor, followed by a Celebration of Life at home. Gathering will start at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah at 9 a.m. Receiving Brian at 9:30 a.m. Kick stands up at 10:00 a.m. for Brian's Last Ride. Family and friends are welcome to come as they are, bring stories, and remember Brian the way he’d want to be remembered—real, raw, and surrounded by love.
