Brian Paul Willis died June 1, 2011 while swimming with his daughter and grandchildren in the Gulf of Mexico, introducing his grandchildren to the Southwest Florida beaches that he loved.

Brian was born June 14, 1945 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada the fourth child of Eldon Oliver and Isabell Marguerite Kropf. He moved to Cardston, Alberta, Canada when he was 5 and then immigrated to Ogden, UT in 1959. He lived in UT until Oct 2010 when he & his wife moved to Cape Coral, FL. Brian worked for 35 years for UDOT retiring June 2005.

Brian served an LDS mission to the Southwest Indian Mission in AZ and NM spending most of his mission working with people from the Hopi tribe, whom he loved very much.
Brian married Lois Jones on Aug. 20, 1968 in the Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity. They shared almost 43 wonderful years together and look forward to being together for eternity.

Brian was a High Priest in the LDS Church serving well in any calling he was asked to do. He loved serving the Lord and has a strong testimony. His most important calling was father to six beautiful daughters and grandpa to 11 adored grandchildren who were the light of his life. He will be missed by them all.

Brian is survived by his wife Lois, daughters Shelley Ann (Philip) Aidoo, Brenda Lee (Kevin) Lyday, Jerri Lynn (Kirk) Miller, Mary Beth (Brian) Rounkles, Jessica Rae (Bruce) Gustafson, and Paulette Louise Willis (Jon Matern). Grandchildren: Nicholas 12, Ruby 8, Joshua 7, Courtney 6, Jennifer 5, Emily 5, Raquel 5, Spencer 4, Cheyenne 2, Grace 2, and Justin 1. His sister Janet (Sherman) Johansen, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Betty Duncombe, and brother Gerald Willis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Wednesday the 8th, from 6-8 p.m. at Myers and Thursday prior to the service from 11:45-12:45.
