Brigham Jon Bradley Obituary (1979 - 2013)

Brigham Bradley Brigham Jon Bradley, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, boyfriend, friend, and co-worker, passed away on August 23, 2013 at Willard Bay State Park. He was born on Sept. 22, 1979 in Layton, Utah, to Randall and Cheryl Campbell Bradley and was welcomed as a brother to Rob and Jared. He became older brother to Jed and Becky. He grew up in Clinton and attended Davis Co. Schools; as a child and youth he participated in sports, scouting, and church activities. As a 1998 graduate of Northridge High School, he focused on health occupations and participated in HOSA. Brigham graduated from LDS Seminary. Shortly after graduation, he earned his basic EMT certificate and later Advanced EMT certification. Volunteering with the Sunset Fire Department for 8 years brought him great satisfaction and was the beginning of a lifelong valued brotherhood. For 5 years and at the time of his death he was a part time firefighter with the Syracuse Fire Department. Firefighting, guns, and fitness were his passions. He graduated from the POST academy in 2001 and worked in corrections in Weber County for 11 years. Deputy Bradley was respected and appreciated in his current post in the Medical Unit of the Weber Co. Jail. Brigham is a kind hearted and caring man, having helped many friends and strangers during his earthly sojourn. Always an advocate for the underdog or mistreated, he has been a benefactor to many in need. He has been "a man with a truck", willing to work hard and assist others. Fifteen nieces & nephews considered him a special and favorite uncle. Bradley's work ethic is rarely equaled. As a fun loving guy, he is a Broncos fan, a camper, hiker, skier, snowmobiler, and water sports enthusiast. Riding ATVs was a source of great enjoyment. "B-Rad" is his karaoke moniker. A great void will be felt by many - in work, family, and friendship settings. We will smile as we remember his quick wit, dry humor, and cheerful, likable nature. Brig is survived by his parents; girlfriend, Jamie Beyer; 3 brothers, Rob (Liz), Savannah, GA, Jared (Jessica), Ogden, Jed (Melissa), Ogden; 1 sister, Becky, Clinton; grandmother, Gene Bradley, and Harvey, his dog. A myriad of friends mourn his passing including his second family, the Spencers of Slaterville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Clinton Stake Center, 1288 W. 1300 N. Clinton, UT. Family and friends may call on Friday, August 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, UT, and Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the services. Interment, Clinton City Cemetery. In keeping with Brigham's inclination and his family's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Weber and Box Elder Counties' search and rescue teams for all their hard work and perseverance in finding our hero, or to another preferred organization.
