Carlene Weaver Martindell Obituary (1929 - 2017)

Carlene W. Martindell Carlene W. Martindell, 87, returned to her Heavenly Father April 1, 2017 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, Utah. Carlene was born in Ogden, Utah a daughter of Carl E. Weaver and Edna Smith on July 3, 1929. She attended schools in Ogden City, graduated from Ogden High and attended BYU; graduating in 1951. Carlene married Carlos F. Martindell in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1953; he preceded her in death. Carlene taught school in the Ogden School District for 49 years. She loved teaching and all the children. She retired in 2002. She served on the Women's Counsel for the McKay Dee Hospital for many years. Carlene was a lifetime member of the LDS Church, serving in Young Women's, Sunday School and Primary. She had a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and endured to the end. Carlene had no children of her own but was a mother to many. She is survived by one brother, Danny (Joyce) Weaver of Syracuse, Utah; five nieces and one nephew. Our sincere thanks to R. M. Hospice for the tender care they gave Carlene in her final days.
