Carlos Celestino Duran Obituary (1927 - 2004)

CARLOS C. DURAN ROY -- Carlos C. Duran, 77, returned to his loving father in heaven and the love of his life, his wife, Genevieve, on November 20, 2004, surrounded by his loving family. Carlos was born on July 23, 1927 in Ortiz, Colorado to Celestino and Rosita Duran. He married the love of his life, Genevieve Valdez, on January 10, 1949. They moved to Utah to raise their family and was active in St. Mary's Church. He retired from Hill Air Force Base and spent his remaining years enjoying his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and traveling to the family ranch in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his loving wife and two sons. He is survived by his son, Gary (Roy), two daughters, Christine (Ogden), and Carleen (Roy); nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters and countless friends. Carlos was a man with an unselfish, loving heart who loved all his family and friends unconditionally, even strangers could get a "hug" from him. Carlos left footprints on all our hearts, and he will never be forgotten.
