CARMA JEAN THURGOOD

CLINTON - Carma Jean Thurgood, 75, of Clinton, passed away June 1, 2010, at her home. Carma was born October 2, 1934 to George Ann and John Martin in Ogden. She married John Thurgood on July 27, 1956 in Elko, Nevada.

She spent her life taking care of others. She was always willing to offer a listening ear, a warm meal, or a place to stay. Many have benefitted from her selfless service. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, gardening and gambling. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her husband John, one son; Johnny (Donna) Thurgood, daughters; Gaylene Hamilton, Becky (James) Stephens, Lori Davis and daughter-in-law, Angie Thurgood, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Joan (Darrell) Burningham and Patty (Ron) Maguire, and brothers; Bernie Seiber and Bruce Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Lee Thurgood, and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at West Point Cemetery 40 North 4000 West, West Point, Utah. Friends and family can call from
9:00 - 10:00 a.m., prior to services at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah.
