Carol returned to our Heavenly Father May 30, 2013 after her fight with Pancreatic and Liver Cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at her home in Farr West City.

She was born June 20, 1940 to Carl Mikkelsen and Cevela C. Jones Mikkelsen in Ogden, UT.

Carol loved crafts, embroidery, crocheting, homemaking and spending time with family and friends.

She was proud to have served in the Corpus Christi, Texas LDS Mission.

She was married and sealed May 4, 1963 to Larry David Barton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She had four children, four step-children.

She is survived by her four children, Steven, Bruce, Sharee (David) Lewis, Carl (LaDawn); two step-children, Cliff and Bryan; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Vicky (Bob) Lowder, Maralyn (Myron) Stratton and Jay (Debbie) Mikkelsen; also many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents, Carl and Cevela; sister, Karen; step-sons, Jimmy and Mike.

Mom we will all miss, love and cherish you always.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Farr West LDS Ward Chapel, 2132 W. 2700 No. Viewings will be held at the church on Tuesday, June 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
