Carol D. (Bulkley) Anderson Merrill

October 7, 1932 until August 27, 2015.

Carol was born on October 7, 1932 to her parents George A. Bulkley and Twila B. (Hensley) Bulkley. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended South Jordan High School. She married Sterling B. Anderson on September 24, 1948 and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple March 6, 1962. Sterling died at 58 years old in November 1982. They were married for 36 years. She prayed to find another companion to spend the rest of her life with, and after a few years she found the next love of her life, Nathan H. Merrill, whom she married on July 25, 1989 in Essex, MA. They were married for 26 years. She loved life and helping others, encouraging people, children and spreading the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many positions in the church, including nursery, primary teacher, Boy Scouts, Relief Society Counselor, and Family History, she always felt each position was a blessing. She loved to sing and was a noted artist and member of the Palette Club. Getting many awards and trading paintings for as much as a motorcycle. One prize, she was asked to have tea with the Queen. But, alas, couldn't leave the kids. She also won the cover of an Artist Magazine. She loved dancing, singing, drawing, and camping. She was known and loved by many and adored by her family. Nathan and Carol had many fun years traveling and seeing America and family, the highlight was always her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, George and Twila Bulkley; her brother, Kenneth; husband, Sterling B. Anderson; sister, Bonnie Graham; brother, Robert (Afton); sister, Evelyn (Lee) Ingersol; granddaughter, Kira Edmindson; plus many other close family members and in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Carol is survived by her devoted husband, Nathan Henry Merrill; her loving children, Craig S. (Debbie) Anderson, Kevin B. Anderson, Steven T. (Patricia) Anderson, Julie K. Anderson (Fred) Hager, Randy D. (Tamara) Anderson; grandchildren, Danielle (Jeremy) Trentelman, Benjamin (Mikelynn) Anderson, Jennifer (Charles) Uribe, Nicole (Doug) Anderson, Kinyon Anderson, Wesley (Lyanna) Anderson, Jonathon (Melia) Anderson, Chantell (Dimitrios) Hager, Drey (Samantha) Hager, Andrew (Lauren) Hager; and many great grandchildren, which she adores. She has many children she was gifted with during her marriage with Nathan. She grew to love them as her own, Glenn, Henry, Nancy, Vicki Ann, Grace, Deanna; as well as new grandchildren too.

We would like to thank all her neighbors, friends, and ward members for all their help and consideration in helping mom and Nathan, and the outstanding care given by Envision Hospice Care and Myers Mortuary.

Mom loved as Jesus did; gave so much too so many in love and understanding. She lived the gospel as one should in every word and deed. She will be missed by too many to count, but especially her husband, Nathan. She's just going home... ..
