Carole Darlene Van Hulten Obituary (1941 - 2007)

Carole Darlene Peterson Van Hulten PLAIN CITY - Carole Darlene Peterson Van Hulten, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at her home, due to an extended illness. She was born on February 10, 1941 in Ogden, Utah to Glen James and Velva Mae Peterson. She attended Ben Lomond and Ogden High. She married William Abraham Van Hulten on March 24, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. Carole was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through her healthy years she held many church positions. She worked at Mt. Bell, Bon Marche, IRS, McKay Hospital as a Nurses Aid and Sears, until due to health problems she could no longer work. She always was thinking of others and what she could do to help them. She had an uncanny ability to make people laugh. She was an excellent cook, loved to read and write poetry and also draw. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and her animals. She was our wife, mother, grandmother and sister. We will miss her and love her always. She is survived by her husband; children, Michael (Karen) Van Hulten, Bountiful, Tamara (Daniel ) Perkins, Plain City, Christine (Mike) Verburg, Plain City; eight grandchildren, Amber, Jennifer, Maryanne, Zack, Faith, Christopher, Crystal, Blake; four great-grandkids, Destiny, Deondray, Alexis, Baby Landrith; two sisters, Glenda Hachmeister of Ogden and Judy Peterson of LaGrand, Oregon. Also, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, grandparents, brother, a niece and father and mother-in-law. We would like to express our grateful thanks to the wonderful people at IHC Hospice, who became our extended family, for helping Carole and her family through her journey, Carol, Marcos, Shawn, Megan and all the nurses, social workers and home health care aides.
