Carolyn Bigelow

Carolyn Bigelow, our beloved Mother and Grandma passed away on Saturday March 26, 2016. Carolyn was born March 4, 1944 to Moses Bigelow and Madge Crow in Payson, Utah. She married Leonard Elwell August 22, 1962 later divorcing. She married Robert F Farrell in 1972, later being sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden, LDS Temple. Enjoying their time together until Robert (Bob) passed away after a courage's fight with cancer on December 18, 1994. Carolyn was later married to Ray Stromberg later divorcing.

Carolyn, nick named Binki, by family members, Graduated from Ben Lomond High School. She held many jobs, working for JC Penny Company as an interior designer. She also worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a data processor. Her favorite jobs included JC Penny, Lewis Crafts, and as a popcorn maker for the Carmel Corn Shop. Her most successful and most important job was that of a dedicated and hardworking wife, mother, and friend.

Carolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She had the privilege and opportunity to serve in many church callings over her lifetime. She truly exemplified Christ like service with her love and dedication. Carolyn was active in civic service as a member of The Red Hat Society and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Carolyn had many hobbies, likes, and interests. She was an accomplished painter, winning many ribbons at state and county fairs. She enjoyed crafts, reading, puzzles, hiking, camping, fishing, and caring for her pet cat Missi and her family!

Carolyn is survived by her two sons: William Elwell of Sheridan Wyoming, and Michael (Kim) Elwell of Clinton, Utah. Grandchildren: Jaden and Karson Elwell. Kennedy (Greg ) Howard. Delaney (Matt) Haimerl, Wesely (Eric) Elwell, and Emma Elwell. Great grandchildren: Mackenna and Lillian Haimerl
Siblings: Mary Kay Koch of Las Vegas, Nevada. Many nieces and nephews and other family members.

Family members that preceded Carolyn in death: Parents, Moses and Madge Bigelow. Siblings: Walter Bigelow, Roger Bigelow, Deloris Lanham, and Maggie Connolly.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Clinton 27th Ward, 1708 West 800 North, Clinton. A viewing will be held Thursday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the church from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

We wish to give special thanks to Myers Mortuary and its staff for their help and care of Carolyn. We also wish to thank the Clinton 27Th Ward Relief Society for their thoughtful kindness in providing the family luncheon and for all of their help. Thanks to all of our friends and family who have shared kind words and thoughtful service during this week.
