Chung K. Kim Obituary (1936 - 2004)

CHUNG K. KIM ROY - Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Chung K. Kim, 68, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2004 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. He was born March 15, 1936 in Seoul, Korea, the son of Khum Sun Kim and Kyung Eh Oh. He married Susan Choi June 9, 1962 in Seoul, Korea. He worked for the US Air Force at Osan, Korea and was transferred to the United States in 1975 where he continued working for the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. In 1977 he moved to Ogden, Utah with his family. Chung worked for Fram Corporation in Clearfield, Utah as a warehouse manager. He retired after 22 years in 1999. He found joy in his family and grandchildren. He loved to travel especially to visit his daughters in Hawaii and Georgia. He enjoyed camping and boating with his family. He took great pride and sole responsibility in taking his grandchildren to school. He was a devoted and loyal husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren will greatly miss their "Hada". He was very proud of the accomplishments of his daughters and sons-in-law. He is survived by his wife Susan Kim, daughters Jackie (Jeff) Healy, Hawaii; Bo (Rick) Bowen, Roy; Christy (Jason) Wilson, Georgia; nine grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Karen Roman, Texas; his step-mother, Young Ja Kim, Portland; brothers, Hong Kyoo Kim, Portland; Seung Kyoo Kim, Portland; Byung Kyoo Kim, Portland; sisters, Ji Hyun Yi, Seoul, Korea; Chung Ok Kim, Portland; Chung Nan Kim, Portland.
