Charlene Marie Bleggi Neuenswander, 75, passed away peacefully, with her husband by her side, on Monday, August 13, 2018. She was born August 21, 1942 in Springville, Utah to Charles and Rose Bleggi, the third of four children.
She graduated from Springville High School and became a professional model in Salt Lake City. Charlene married her true love, Curtis Neuenswander, in Mapleton, Utah on August 19, 1961 and their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple on May 3, 1963.
Charlene worked as a cosmetologist for many years and was loved by her clients. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings.
She had many great talents including the gift of artistic ability. Many of her paintings and drawings will be cherished by her family for years to come. Charlene was also very good at knitting, crocheting, painting ceramics, and loved to read. She was also an excellent cook and could make anything taste good.
One of her most memorable things will be the elaborate way she decorated for holidays, especially Christmas. Every year she had an amazing display of a Christmas village.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family-going on vacations, playing games, camping, or simply just sitting around and talking. She and Curtis loved getting together with their friends for parties and playing games. They also participated in a square-dancing club.
Charlene is survived by her husband Curtis, and children: Shannon Crudele, Roy, Natalie Distefano, Ogden, Paula (Daren) Saunders, Plain City, and Tad (Nichole) Neuenswander, Kaysville. She is also survived by her brothers, Frankie (Kathy) Bleggi, Bishop, California, Rudy (Linda) Bleggi, Elberta, and David (Judy) Bleggi, Orem.
Charlene has 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. There are 3 other grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren that she has always considered her own. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Rose Bleggi.
The family would like to thank Myers Mortuary and the loving nurses and staff at South Ogden Post-Acute.
