Charles Carl Cristelli "Chuck"

Charles Carl Cristelli "Chuck" passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Mt. Ogden Health and Rehabilitation. Chuck was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on January 26, 1926, son of Louis J. Cristelli and Maria Bullock. The family settled in West Weber, Utah where they farmed. Chuck was educated in the Weber County schools and graduated from the School for the Deaf and Blind. He worked at the Harrisville Brick Yard for several years before retiring from the Department of Transportation as a Quality Control Specialist. During WWII Chuck volunteered as an Italian Language Interpreter.

His hobbies included boating, water skiing, dancing, camping and enjoyed working on the family farm. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Lodge 2472, Ogden).

In 1958 Chuck married Eva Cooper who had five young boys to raise. The boys admired him for taking the responsibility of helping raise them and the opportunity for a better life.

Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Eva and his parents, brother Chris, nephew Steve Cristelli, and stepson Rod Rose. He is survived by stepsons Larry Rose, Pleasant View, Max (Jeanette) Rose, Farr West, Steve (Nancy) Rose, Ogden, Kevin Rose, Ogden, a niece Dannette Ham, Halls Lake, Washington, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A family viewing will be held Tuesday, May 30th from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. followed by Graveside Services at the Ogden City Cemetery at 11 a.m.

The family would like to thank Mt. Ogden Health and Rehabilitation for their TLC, and Canyon Homecare and Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers the family requests just give a big hug to a loved one.
