Charles Ira McKinley, 94, known affectionately to all as Chuck, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024. Born on December 22, 1929, in Farmington, Kansas, he was a loving soul who touched the lives of many with his smart, creative, and dedicated nature.
Chuck was a man of many talents. His love for photography and woodworking was evident in the beautiful pictures he captured and the intricate pieces he created, which now adorn the homes of his loved ones, serving as a constant reminder of his dedicated craftsmanship. Additionally, he was a published author whose words will continue to inspire many in the years to come. A proud member of Toastmasters, Chuck's charisma and eloquence were on full display during his speeches. He served his country proudly for 20 years as a Marine. His life journey took him to many places, from Atkinson, Kansas to Pearl City, Hawaii, and eventually to Clearfield, Utah, where he resided for the last 25 years.
Chuck's love for his family and pets was evident. He is survived by his loving daughter, LaRae Widmeyer; his special second daughter, Kim Sonner; his great-grandchildren, Rilie and Tory Hamilton; and his grand dogs, Molly and Kenai.
